I know this news is alarming to everyone, but we should be panicking!

We just beat UGA for the 2nd time in 3 years, that hasn't happended in almost 15 years.

We have the best recruting class since 2007 coming in this fall.

We have a chance at a 9 win season for the 2nd time in 3 years.

We are a great football program on the rise after a 3-9 season, all is well in Atlanta. GT will be just fine!

As for the transfers and rumors of more transfers. If a Student doesn't want to be at GT, you should not want them here. We are a VERY talented football team, things like this are bound to happen. We will be just fine!

First I'm still happy we beat uga.

Funny thing is most years I have read people get mad when we only sign 16-18 players. They are the same ones wanting to know how some SEC teams sign 25 or more each year. They do it because of attrition and not all by graduation. You sign the best players you can and let things work out.

Our 2015 class had 27 players sign common sense would tell you not all 27 will start. Some leave for different reasons some we will understand and some we won't. Like it or not out of this 27 about 16 ( IMO)would be my guess now many in this signing class will finish at Tech. But that is part of college football it happens to all teams. CPJ likes all his players but he is also one that we know will not sugarcoat things if you are doing something wrong you will know it. Some people can't take criticism as well as others that's just part of life.

I can see that the last few year our recruiting has got better. We will have some players leave each year as long as we can sign the best players that we can get we will be fine.

We are 8-4 and have a chance to win 9 games this year plus we beat uga and that is 2 out of the last 3 years. I will not let this get me down and look forward to our bowl game and next year.

Attrition is a part of the college football landscape. Commitment is not a virtue of modern american life, and so you can expect people to leave when things get hard for them in one way or another.

I agree. The sky is not falling. We will be fine. This opens up 2 scholarships and we have 2 months to figure out how we can best fill those spots. We have our STARTING B-BACK returning next year and he still has 3 years of eligibility, as well as 2 capable backups in my opinion. Let's not get too worked up, guys.

These kids are 18, you know. Dealing with high pressure football. Sometimes we forget.

talk to us about the recruiting class. What makes this one special vs. the previous eight years? And yes, it is a serious question because i don't follow it and have no clue about HS talent anywhere.

Among other things, this class has a few 4-star kids that are very highly sought after recruits and a number of other high 3-star kids. Rivals has our class as 4th bet in the ACC based on average star ranking. We are also still in the mix with a number of high quality additions. This has the potential to be a special class. Also, the last 2 classes were a step up from the previous 3, so we are trending up in recruiting.

Not the deepest class we've had, but based on each players average ranking this will be the highest rated class since 2006/7.
