A few years ago I messed around with a Google product that allowed you to create floor plans, converted to 3D models, etc. It was fun to play around with as I was trying to do something for our 50's ranch front.

I just Duck-Duck'd "free drawing apps" and there are several that showed up in search results. I know nothing about them though. Good luck.

Sounds like you're talking about SketchUp. They have a free version, and there's a bit of a learning curve but it's great!
