Google is your friend. I suggest you do the work yourself and educate yourself on these issues. Wouldn't want to be accused of only supplying information that speaks for one side and not the other.

I'd love to post a wikipedia link, but I fear that has a liberal bias. Perhaps Breitbart has a good write up of it?

The alphabet is fake news and letters are liberal political hacks.

Using your own money is not a contribution, nobody gave it to you.

I know that, and understand it. My understanding is that the primary objection most liberals have had to the Citizens United case was their fear that money would be used to influence or buy elections. My real question is why should it matter where that money comes from? If money can corrupt an election, what does it matter if the money is an individual's, or a corporation's, or a country's? Aren't they all bad?

Because the money that comes in due to the Citizens United ruling is called "dark money", money that is not reported who donated and is unlimited in volume. Every dollar that Bloomberg or Trump or the next guy like them that gets spent is 100% tallied and reported. It's not the existence of money in politics, nobody is so naive to think that will ever changed. But it is about the transparency and accountability of the money that is of concern.

For the DIMs, it's all about beating Bernie now. If he wins the nomination, they know they are toast. And if it doesn't win it, his supporters will probably not support any candidate and may indeed revolt. It seems to be a lose-lose situation for them.

That's pretty much the conundrum the Democrats are facing. A bit of Sophie's choice there.
