I honestly feel very shaky about his hire. I hope I’m very wrong bc we can’t afford for this to not work out.
After a few weeks?

From the time I heard he was hired I felt this way. Not looking to start a big dialogue just a gut feeling which I hope is wrong. After a few weeks?
You know after everything that has gone on during that time and his inability to turn the program around in these agonizingly long 2 weeks. Maybe its time to start looking for a new coach? After a few weeks?
Guy is hired for reasons other than having a list of quick ast hires. He has been in pros recently and before that was in west coast. Hope the AD has estimated the extra $$ to get quality local hires. You know after everything that has gone on during that time and his inability to turn the program around in these agonizingly long 2 weeks. I found the hire to be uninspiring. From the time I heard he was hired I felt this way. Not looking to start a big dialogue just a gut feeling which I hope is wrong.
Stoudamire's coaching resume is so skinny that all he really has to sell to recruits is his NBA All-Pro bio....which is not "nothing"....sell what you got.I was underwhelmed by his initial press conference. He talked about himself most of the time. Later press conferences have been better.
Please share all the solid information you have on these subjects. It is refreshing to see fonts skipping the potion of coaching dealing with hiring of assistants, recruiting, developing players, scouting and game planning opponents, and managing the in-game strategy and tactics and go right to complaining how bad a coach DS is. Why waste time and effort on the other unimportant stuff, amirit?
He's coached at 4 other schools and in the NBA, starting as a director of player development at Rice and, before his recent NBA stint, being named WCC Coach of The Year for winning games at a ****ty Pacific program as head coach. 15 years total coaching experience, across college and pro.Stoudamire's coaching resume is so skinny that all he really has to sell to recruits is his NBA All-Pro bio....which is not "nothing"....sell what you got.
Hope it works out for us. Not optimistic.
And was considered a viable candidate for the Celtics job before Mazzulla got it.He's coached at 4 other schools and in the NBA, starting as a director of player development at Rice and, before his recent NBA stint, being named WCC Coach of The Year for winning games at a ****ty Pacific program as head coach. 15 years total coaching experience, across college and pro.

I am not the one complaining about the hire before he has even had a chance to demonstrate capability one way or another in any of those facets here at Tech. Please share all the solid information you have on these subjects.

Your first point is correct. Fortunately, conference realignment has little to do with negative fans. This thread has turned in the most GT way. I have never seen such a scared and continued self-defeating group of people. When conference realignment leaves us in the dust, we will have nobody to blame but ourselves.
