I have a strong feeling coach is going to get Adidas to start making some NICE products for us. Sure the gold problem will always be a problem.

I saw a post on the 404 hats that we will have them SOON from Adidas.... that is big news on it's own.

I expect to see 6 new jerseys in the next 2 years, and a ton of new products for fans to buy. Collins is about marketing and branding. I would be floored if he doesn't have his hand firmly on Adidas with what he wants to do with apparel and the teams uniforms.

6 jerseys? I highly dont that. 4 max if they decide to do a black watch uni.

I believe it when i see it bc Adidas was very stingy with the fan merch with all of it team

I would love it if Collins excited Adidas to truly make us a flagship and a cool brand to folks with no reason to support us other than that coolness. There's a lot of signs of being on that path, but I think it comes mainly with putting an exciting product on the field.

From a personal standpoint, I love the tradition and would be happy for us to put together straightforward, consistent, well-branded unis and gear. But I don't think that's what we'll get, and honestly it might be better for us as a brand to have a lot of different looks. But it needs to be quality. And to push the envelope in some ways. And to have at least one consistent piece that ties things together. If we're just a platform for them to experiment with some ideas but not really seen as a brand to push to the front, we'll see chaos, inconsistency, and gimmick.

Not relevant to the OP, so mods please move where you feel necessary, but I wonder if we will get more night games. It’s no secret that our best crowds are evening kickoffs, so I wonder if CGC will try to pull some strings to get us more prime time kicks.

Not sure if Collins can pull strings, but I am confident we will get more night games. Fair or not, perception of our offense being "boring" by the average fan had become somewhat reality. We got a crazy lack of night games and a crazy increase in bye games from other teams before us. I expect both of those scheduling phenomena to normalize under the new system. And, honestly, that in and of itself is probably worth nearly a full extra win a season.

Well get more night games because of the ACCN and more night game TV slots contractually obligated to the ACC.

Our run of day games over the last ~five years had much more to do with our TV contract, which basically had noon slots, a 330, and a few national options that could choose 8:00 abc or late game on espnu — but didn’t have to take ACC games any weeks

Im sure the black watch uni is coming.

The D has to earn that. IMHO.

The true Black Watch of 1985 held 3 ranked SEC opponents to 17, 6 and 16. Pitched two ACC shutouts (and held Clemson to 3). Gave up a season high of only 24 points. Led the team to a 9-2-1 record, a ranked finish and a bowl win back when that meant something...

Last year's D gave up 49 points to a G5 team... Can't/shouldn't appropriate the "Black Watch" legend unless it's a top D in the nation. IMHO

Collins basically willed us into a strong partnership with Waffle House out of nowhere, so I could see him finessing Adidas a bit. He does seem to push the "Three Stripe Life" and Adidas brand pretty hard. I think the top players in practice are designated by the "three stripes" on their helmets as they've "earned their stripes." CGC is showing appreciation to the provider in creative ways and with constant media mentions/images, so hopefully they reciprocate.

And that team was literally 2 plays away from going undefeated - both 4th and short that failed. One against Auburn and I can't recall the other. Of course, that wasn't on the D.
