Brittain Dining Hall has been a staple at Georgia Tech for years. However, due to the extreme costs required for necessary renovations, the Institute made the difficult decision to close the facility. Ensuring the safety of all students was key in making this decision, as the current space presents infrastructure and food safety concerns.
None of this was mentioned in the Comprehensive Campus Plan. Also surprising to me that it's not on the NRHP. Anyone out there with special knowledge, whether it will be closed permanently/torn down, or significantly redeveloped into perhaps a satellite library/study space, or visitor reception/event center?

Wow this is surprising, I recall the building being beautiful but long in tooth while I was walking the campus 20 years ago. Wonder what will come from the stained glass windows they used to have.

I would imagine that it's not all that needed with the North Ave dining facility, what, 100 yds away?

And I couldn't imagine it being torn down.
