Even though I was rooting for them to win, their loss doesn't hurt. Any GT loss hurts exponentially more than any ACC non-con loss and that includes the Natty. I don't get the SEC, SEC, SEC chant so I certainly don't take any pride in FSU or Clemson or any other conference mate winning a championship.
Is there any residual bump to our recruiting with an ACC Championship sitting on the iron throne? Maybe. Maybe a teeny tiny bit, but it's negligible. It probably hurts us more than helps us because now any rare recruit that's sitting on the fence with us and them (yeah I know, I said rare) is more inclined to go to them.
That said, Satan winning does hurt. The rich gets richer. The gulf that separates the upper class in college football from the rest just got a little wider and a little deeper. The beat goes on. Woo hoo!
