Red flag laws should never be utilized to revoke constitutionally protected due process rights.

School is back in. You will probably get one of those mass shootings that you love so much soon.

    https://abc7news.com/bart-upping-police-presence-following-wave-of-violent-attacks-/3896633/

Left coast policies can’t provide safety in public transit. BART PD increasing officers work hours to 12 hours a day, six days on and one day off.

And only politicians, cops, prosecutors, and friends of the Sheriff there can exercise their 2nd amendment rights without threat of arrest. Liberalism at its best. BART safety guidelines encourage riders to be compliant victims of crime lol.

Seems like the states would have done something by now to curb the violence like mandate a minimal number of entry points, require metal detectors and an armed guard at each entry point, and have a few properly licensed volunteer teachers/administrators throughout the school carry a concealed sidearm. I think the added expense would be well worth the added safety of our students.

We have an armed resource officer at every school in the county - 1 per 1,000 students. So at our local high school, we have 5 armed resource officers. Nothing can completely stop a crazy person, but I think the deterrence of knowing you have at least 5 officers with a gun on campus will help. The high vast majority of these shootings have been people who legally shouldn't have a gun in the first place. Until they get serious about getting existing laws enforced, all the hysterics and fake outrage by some is transparent - they just want to use victims to force their own political utopia on the rest of us. Using victims to silence debate is the old tried and true approach some people have. And courts. Because the Constitution and the Ballot Box don't offer them a real chance. And they don't have the ***** to move to a country that actually matches their political ideology.

Cops should know their laws better than in this example. Unreasonable detainment. Excessive show of force imo. The guy with the shoulder complaint should have been re-cuffed with his hands in the front to alleviate his complaint of pain (he was literally surrounded by a dozen cops so was not a risk with regards to fight or flight). The duration of the stop was overly excessive imo also.

Not a good look for this department. Some mandatory training is in order. This also demonstrates why citizens should know their rights and the laws governing them.

Guns stop active shooters. Gun free zones increase the body counts.

More and more red flag laws being passed and subverting due process. Commifornia looking to register ammo sales and crank down even harder on restricting 2A with other proposals. Much of the same happening up north.

ATF arbitrarily mandating what is and isn’t “legal”. Not being done through the passage of new laws even.

Lying left always spews their drivel as “common sense” measures and don’t intend to undermine 2A. And they incrementally continue to do just that.

Time to just stock up on more guns and ammo. I’ll get what I need for the long haul. It’s a lot harder to take away guns than restrict purchases. I’m about to join the gun a month club the left used to trumpet. Wife ain’t gonna be happy. Buy early of you may lose the ability to buy at all.

As we’ve discussed here many times, a high percentage of the mass shootings could have been stopped had law enforcement simply enforced existing laws and did their job. And as many hate us to remind them, kids raised in families without both a mom and dad present are 15-20x more likely to abuse drugs, end up in prison, commit crimes, etc etc etc. Marriage and families matter. But what are we focused on - banning bump stocks, which have only been responsible for one of the 100,000,000 million shootings, and in which many experts say helped reduce the number of deaths because of the erratic nature and difficulty of aiming while using one of those.

I’m not a fan of bump stocks. I don’t own one, I’ve never wanted to, and never will. They are gimmicky pieces of crap imo.

However, the manner in which the executive branch arbitrarily determines what is and isn’t legal....is disgraceful. First bump stocks were deemed legal and not “machine guns.” Now arbitrarily “illegal.”

Next possible, actually continuing cluster, is arm braces for AR pistols and similar firearms. First they were deemed to be illegal if you positioned the brace against your shoulder. Then ATF deemed it’s not illegal if the brace only intermittently is used on your shoulder like a typical rifle stock. And there is nothing at all to prevent them from changing their minds once more and making a completely new determination.

That isn’t how government should run.

Buywhat you want while you can. One day you won’t be able to. Don’t wait for laws to change. You may not be able to fund what you need to during the short time it takes the laws to take affect once passed.
