For the sixties they had three of one of the best offensive lines in Tech history, Guards Rufus Guthrie and Dave Watson and tight end Billy (Jolly Green Giant) Martin. The others on that line were tackles Ed Griffin and Larry Stallings, center Bobby Caldwell and tight end Ted (The Toe) Davis?. I think they all played pro ball except Guthrie, who had a career ending injury in camp after being a first round draft pick, Watson, Stallings and Martin had pretty good careers.

Can’t argue with the list but interesting that two Tech players with solid pro careers did not make the cut -Craig Baynham and Joe Auer. Reinforces my belief that being good in college is different from being good in the pros and we should not conflate them.

For contrast note that Snow, Sias, Perdoni and King did not play in the NFL. I suspect Snow might have if not for a broken leg but still.
