The winning pitcher for the Braves is 7-2 Your Friendly Neighborhood Sliderman and the losing pitcher for the Mets is 4-2 Jeurys Familia. Mark Melancon gets his 5th save. The 78-52 1st place in the NL East Atlanta Braves lead the 71-57 2nd place in the NL East Washington Nationals by 6 games.

We tend to win when deGrom pitches. He usually dominates but we somehow score a couple unearned runs or tag the bullpen as soon as he leaves.

Called it. The run was earned and didn’t tag the bullpen right when he left but we tagged them for the loss. We’ve won 3 games and lost 1 against the Mets this year when deGrom has started. So 8-1 over the last two seasons in games that deGrom has started.

Alex A. Has pulled all the right strings so far this year. These aren’t guys you want to be everyday players, but man have they been clutch filling in so far. Can’t wait to get dansby and Reilly back. I’m even hearing Webb and oday might be close. It’s gonna be like getting some late year acquisitions when they all come back. Hopefully kakes and bmac come back healthy too. Kakes will be late sept if at all tho.

Webb can’t pitch this season or for the playoffs. Elbow has shut him down.
Kakes is right now on schedule for a rehab. assignment for Sept. 6.
