Pressley led the league in punting by 1 yard and net punting by 2 yards. Not sure how else they measure anything for that position and why he got 2nd team.

We finished in 4th place in the entire conference and only had Parker Braun (1st team) and Pressley Harvin (2nd team) awarded. Thats a bunch of BS. Something like 110 players received awards.

Horrid teams like Florida State and North Carolina each had 4 guys awarded.

On a side note, our QB position (Oliver and TaQuon) lead the ACC in rushing yards with 1700 (2nd place was 1300) and lead the ACC in rushing touchdowns with 23 (2nd place was 19). Obviously they're not going to get an award for adding 2 people together, LOL.

Juanyeh Thomas lead the ACC with 2 return touchdowns, but no award there. Probably not enough returns to get noticed.

Wesley Wells lead the ACC in kick percentage, but with his late start didn't have enough kicks to get noticed. Chris Dunn (NCSU) for example was 61/64 on FG/PAT combined. Wesley was 46/46. Hard to give him the award over someone with higher volume like that who was also accurate.

On a side note, Trevor Lawrence balled out as a true Freshman like many had predicted. Even though he split time the first 4 games, and sat on the bench a lot due to blowouts, he still finished with the most passing TDs (22), and lead the ACC in passer rating (156.8) as he only had 4 picks against those 22 TDs.

Going to guess punts inside the 20, 10, etc? Not sure where those stats are kept.

Looks like Harvin had better net avg. of 41.0 yds. vs. Hofrichter's 39.3. Despite watching games for both teams, I'm not sure how coverage teams affected those results materially.

Hofrichter is legit, for what it's worth. Next level stuff as well.

I hope Harvin eventually winds up playing with the Falcons:)

Found it:

Hofrichter: 25 of 61 punts (41%) downed inside the 20.
Harvin: 13 of 31 (42%) punts downed inside the 20.

https://www.footballdb.com/college-football/stats/stats.html?yr=2018&conf=&mode=U

This might be splitting hairs... what's also unclear in these stats is how short those punts were in aggregate, to affect the overall punting average, if that makes sense. For example, a punt from the 50 downed at the 10 is a 40 yard punt. A punt from the opponent's 45 downed at the 10 is a 35 yard punt.

We complain about this every year. I don’t have much issue with that list. Maybe could make an argument for Anree to be on there.

Usually we have a lot to complain about. This year, not so much. We split so much time between our QBs, BBs (KirVonte getting hurt), lack of passing, and we did a lot of rotating of personnel on defense (especially the first half, trying to figure out who was the best at each position), there's not a lot to complain about. When your punter leads his category, he should be first team, but due to lower volume, I'll take 2nd team with a chuckle. Wesley should have made it as honorable mention though, as they took 4 kickers. Wesley was 46/46. Alex Kessman of Pitt made THIRD TEAM as the PK, and he was 48/54. That's a bunch of BS. Its like they don't even pay attention.
