In case you missed it -

I was watching the ACCN Huddle replay yesterday, and the panel is more excited by the transfer QB's e.g.. Miami, FSU, NCST, than HK. Yet he had better numbers last year. His only negative was interceptions. Not much love for GT at all.

If you prefer to read instead of listen, SI has the transcripts.

These are paywalled (I haven’t figured out how to give a gift article, or if it’s supported)

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/56...s-acc-realignment/?source=user_shared_article Jim Phillips understands the game he’s playing now, and ACC survival depends on it

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/56...g-grant-of-rights/?source=user_shared_article. Jim Phillips: ACC ‘will fight … for as long as it takes’ in defending grant of rights

EA Sports doesn’t think much of our chances (wink). https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/56...mulations-playoff/?source=user_shared_article. I ran 25 simulations of the 2024 season in College Football 25. Here’s what I learned

Short versions:
  1. Jim Phillips has set his focus on the new reality of NCAA sports. He had the idealistic view of the student athlete that might barely linger in the Ivy League and military academies. It’s an article that superficially compliments him, but also contrasts that the Big 12 and the SEC will push the envelope of our new reality, while the ACC and B1G are more traditional. The B1G is in a better position to support that approach than we are.
  2. Clemson and FSU are in for a big court fight
  3. Pick Oregon if you’re playing on the PlayStation or XBox

Edit: I’m out of town this week, so I’m making updates on mobile devices. Please forgive the occasional duplicate post of an article that may have already been posted

Let me add a twist in the courts. At some point acc could file in federal courts if they see any favoritism from espn who owns rights of both sec and acc.
