CPJ has won ACC Coach of the Year 3 times, 2008, 2009, 2014.

Since GT joined the ACC in 1978, only UVAs George Welsh has won 3+ times, 1983, 1984, 1991, and 1995.

Since 1953, only Bill Murray of Duke, 1954, 1960, 1962 and Earl Edwards of NC State 1957, 1963 (tie), 1965 and 1967 have won as often.

Is this a big deal or should people be slapped for not voting for Jimbo?

It'll be hard for Jimbo to ever win ACC COTY imo because in college football at least the award is given to the coach that most exceeded expectation and not necessarily the most successful. For example, an Ohio State coach hasn't won B1G COTY since 1979 even though they've won multiple national titles since then because they're always supposed to be near the top. Same for FSU in the ACC.

I think it says a lot about CPJ still. It's recognized that it's been hard to win consistently at a school without those natural advantages but CPJ has had multiple great seasons regardless.
