New format too. Good news...better odds of making tournament. May be able to make tournament average close to 1 win per conf series. A 10-20 record in conf might be enough.

I do wonder how many folks will travel to that venue (not me).
So, this is like a single elimination format. Yes, you get two game guaranteed, which is smart for teams on the edge for an NCAA bid. It also let's in some weaker competition..again good for teams on the edge for an NCAA bid. To win the tournament, you must go unbeaten....

Agree. I like the format. No play-in, one and done scenarios. Saturday's (semis) games definitely matter...old format Sat pool play was often between teams with no path to championship. It is possible under this format for all 3 teams in a pool to go 1-1... Right? In that case I assume the high seed in the pool advances. In that case champ could have a loss.
As for Louisville drawing attendance, we'll see. I usually go to the tournament. But I'm one dude. Not sure I can make this work. The format change has made it more attractive to me.
