Maybe this has been discussed before, but living in Marietta/West Cobb, there is a lot of interference with both 93.7 and 680AM. Anyone else experiencing this in the Metro area? It seems like it's gotten worse in the past 2 to 3 years.

The AM gets weak around dark. I lose the FM around I 20 near Conyers. Sometimes I lose both in downtown Atlanta.

I was driving to Marietta today to watch the game, and was listening to the opening drive for each team on 680. It was bad, and I changed to 93.7, which was a garbled mess, so back to 680.

They are pretty bad it seems.

It’s horrible. 95.5 reaches clear all the way up to North Canton. I can barely get the Fan to be clear in Marietta. It’s a joke
Any thoughts on why? Is it signal interference from other frequencies? Or is the station just throttling the signal strength? It is ridiculous that an Atlanta based station cannot be reliably picked up within 10 miles of the city. Especially since I haven't had issues with any other local stations.

I was listening to the game yesterday on the Georgia Tech app while at my grandchild’s game. Started listening to the game on the radio driving home but it was picking up another station too. Then I thought to use Bluetooth to listen thru the app on my phone thru the car speakers.

Thanks all for the advice. I began using the GT app yesterday. Considering writing an email to GTAA to make sure they are aware (I'm sure they are) so they can inform the stations. Sounds like the signal booster needs to be cranked up.

I've mentioned it many times but usually there's no response, so I figured it was just my problem. But reception has been ridiculously bad for as long as I remember. When the broadcast was on WGST, there was a background hum and power was cut down at sunset.
On 680, we miss coverage every time the Atlanta Braves are playing at the same time. The small station signal in Marietta does not reach to the east side of Atlanta. In my opinion, when driving around town, I should be able to turn on the car radio and hear the game as it happens. Fumbling with the phone app starts with a few commercials and then you hear a delayed broadcast.
Tech is rarely playing at the same time as Georgia U. Perhaps Tech needs to be primarily on WSB 750 as well.

AM without clear channel rights (aka WSB) must cut back power at sunset. There are other stations on that frequency that can be interfered with due to atmospheric skip that occurs at night. WSB is the only station allowed on that frequency by the FCC.
