Can look at this a couple ways.

First, not to be a downer, but this is heavily skewed toward opportunity. By 247’s own rankings, Jordan was the #57 ranked OT in his class. By composite, he was #44. There aren’t many offensive linemen who play major minutes their first year for a reason.

On the flip side, given that this is about opportunity, it is clear that Jordan is an improvement compared to what we had coming back. Obviously we planned for a transfer (Cochran) to start and that likely would have negated Jordan’s accolade, but in an ideal world that still shouldn’t mean a true frosh is first off the bench. So, Jordan has likely earned the opportunity relative to his competition. That’s a great sign for the future for both him and our prospects of increasing the talent on the OL.
