Expect to see more games like this one. With AD's not knowing how much money they are going to have, basketball coaches are being told to schedule fewer buy games and more home and home series with P6 opponents.
The loss in revenue is forcing teams to look for more games where they don't have to pay to play a team. The unfortunate side effect of this is that low and mid majors are having a really difficult time this spring trying to schedule games against P6 opponents and they rely on those games to fund their entire athletic departments.

For ACC games - the 2020-21 rotation for Georgia Tech ...

Home and Away (two permanent opponents) - Clemson, Notre Dame
Home and Away - Duke, FSU, Virginia, Wake
Home only - BC, UNC, Pitt, Syracuse
Away only - Louisville, Miami, NC State, Va Tech

Getting Duke, FSU, and UVA home and away is a tough draw, but it also gives a lot of opportunities for quality wins.

Acc should be better as a whole next year and that schedule with Duke FSU and UVA twice is tough. We could have a similar record to this past season in league play but be a better team. I’d say that’s a 12-8 ACC record.

ESPN released their early bracketology for next season, of note:

- 6 ACC Teams in the field (Duke, FSU, UNC, Miami, UVA, Louisville)
- Syracuse and NC State are first 4 out
- Clemson and GT are next 4 out

Looks like at least 10 teams will be competitive, including us. Plenty of opps for quality wins. I think we will surprise some people.

It will just completely suck if this season gets cancelled. We have one of he best home slates we've had in 20+ years. Lots of really good home games (and we know we have a much higher chance of upsets playing at home).

I’m hoping like hell we get in and get placed in Detroit! I’ll help plan the pregame festivities plus Little Ceasers Arena is a great place to watch a basketball game and you can gamble on sports in the casinos now!!!

When was the last time we had back to back winning records in the ACC?

From 1988 (When Ferrell and Neal were Seniors) to 1990 (Lethal Weapon Three) GT was 8-6 in conference for three consecutive seasons. That was the last time GT had two consecutive >.500 ACC. We did it one other time before that: the '85 and '86 teams (Price and Salley's Junior and Senior years) were 9-5 and 11-3 respectively.

So, it has only been thirty years since we had two consecutive winning ACC records.

Once again this off-season I find myself wondering what I’m missing with a specific team. For 2020-21 it is FSU. You lose arguably one of the top 8 backcourts in the country along with the ACC sixth man of the year. MJ Walker is ok when he is correct and Scottie Barnes is high level but I am not sure I am really confident in the Seminoles until I see them take the court a few times.
