Should save this for some of the recurring debates around here

(I’m fully in favor of having meaningful degrees and standards, but, yeah)

SP+ Defense Projections (where’s Clemson?):

@ESPN_BillC: Top 10 projected defenses in 2020, per SP+:

1 UGA (6.4)
2 Oregon (11.8)
3 Auburn (14.2)
4 Wisc (14.3)
5 Ohio St (14.5)
6 Fla (14.5)
7 Tenn (14.8)
8 Bama (15.2)
9 Miami (15.2)
10 Wash (15.2)

Dawgs are gonna be TERRIFYING on D this year. Full-on, '11 Bama-style boa constrictor.

^^^^ that’s not my comment, it’s Bill Connelly’s

ACC has one projected top 10 defense with Miami.

Overall, Clemson is in at #3.

UNC and Miami are top 25. Notre Dame at #12 and FSU in the top 30.
GT at #58, which is a move up. Our defense is projected to be good, but our offense is projected at #104. Our big hope is that our offense gets fixed—injuries and lack of depth killed us last year. If we can get our offensive line up to average P5 play, we’ll make noise

Tennessee will have a strong defense that will help them go 9-3 and 5-3 in the 2020 regular season. I think UGAG will go 10-2 and 6-2 in the SEC while i think Florida goes 9-3 and 5-3 in the SEC which will tie them with Tennessee for 2nd place in the SEC East.
