Signee - Donovan Wilson
Position - RB
Offers - Georgia Tech, Air Force, BC and Purdue.
Committed - 5/15/12
Looking Back - When Donovan received a offer he did not hesitate in committing to Georgia Tech. He said it was the offer he wanted and he committed on the spot and never looked back. Donovan had a monster Senior year and his team rode on his back...He had one game where he had 59 carries for 424 yards and 3 TDs...another game he had 31 carries for 247 yards and 7 TDs. He had some insane stats. He also chose to enroll early.
Looking Ahead - Donovan can play either A-back or B-back but i think his position long term will be at A-back...The staff seems to have take a liking in the bigger backs that can run. Donovan fits that...Donovan is a north/south runner who gets up the field and has some power. He is currently 6' 210 pounds and runs in the 4.5's. Another reasons he is perfect for the A-back role is his hands...Wilson has shown great hands. I expect to see Donovan with a redshirt this year due to all the depth but expect Donovan to be another good running down the line for the Jackets.
