Agreed. There have ALWAYS been quality student athletes in college sports. But there have also been pure athletes who cared little about the academics. The topic is really about the balance between these two. Goiod schools have both. Factories do also, but have many more pure athletes and fewer...

Umm, I disagree. My Dad was a student at Tulane then and knew many of the football players. He described them as being "dumb as rocks" and recruited from places like Ohio (unusual back in the 30's) and had all kinds of 'help' to stay eligible in classwork. Sound at all familiar? I do agree that...

Truth. There has been cheating on that front for a minimum of 80 years now. Tulane had undefeated seasons...in the SEC...back in the 1930's. Two guesses how they did it. Their 3 SEC Championships are still more than 7 existing SEC schools.

I’m still doing that. Until our pitching improves. We have gotten 2 great starts and 2 horrid starts in our last 4 games. Don’t necessarily expect a lot more great starts, but this group MUST find a way to stop the horrid starts.

I think (as was said) he is there to learn what he needs to work on for next year. His outside shooting isn’t up to NBA standards and that will keep him in college another year. CDS will likely find an adequate 5 so he can get Ndongo more time away from the rim.
