you misquoted me. That's the issue. Your refusal to own that doesn't change the fact that I clearly did NOT say what you continue to falsely attribute to me even after I self-quoted. In this very thread, I admitted I erroneously left off a sarcasm emoji on a response and directly, immediately...
I did NOT say that. I did not say "would be starting".
Please quote me correctly or not at all.
What I did say, pasted from my exact post:
I stand behind that and do not believe JG would've seen meaningful snaps in 2019 had PJ stayed. Who knows though.
I also think that the offense in...
I apologize. I thought I'd posted a sarcastic emoji at the end of my response. I honestly didn't intend for it to be taken seriously. (the one about practicing against the TO)
re:Offense change - PJ's retirement forced us to make the change. Hiring another TO guy would've kept us in the...
I made no false accusations.
We BOTH opined that TO might've been the starter - not sure why you felt it necessary to repeat something we agreed upon.
It's impossible to know who was better at the end of the year, since we never really saw TO at the end of the year. That TQM might've been the...
How was I being critical? PJ was absolutely loyal to his QB - everyone in all GT forums I peruse thought TO should've been the starter at some point in 2018 yet PJ stuck with TQM the whole time (when injury wasn't an issue).
You: "And this year he may have started Oliver" - which is EXACTLY...
re: CGC - ask me again at the end of the season. Trying to project his possibility of success thru a mere 4 games with us is dumb stuff.
I think Woody was in over his head because at the end of season 1 of Woody, we were still missing open-field tackles, taking awful lines towards ball...
It'd most likely look a lot like 2017-18. Either very 1-dimensional with tons of QB Keepers and ignored WRs with TO back there or god-knows-what with Lucas as starter. Graham probably transfers due to lack of PT. Defense would likely have been just as bad or worse with Woody, who was in...
1987 Boss Ross' team stunk it up
1988 Not much better but signs of life
1989 Great season. Lots of improvement. Beat mutts
1990 Natty
Not saying Natty in 4 years but there is precedent for building a champion.
Who knows who is the starting QB if PJ stays. Might've been LJ? JG probably spends another year on the bench and transfers, esp if TO is the starter (since that'd indicate a clear lack of interest in passing). The very-capable WR corps probably gets ignored again, based on how QB-Run heavy...
Not sure about the staff not being capable. I think it's more "not being interested" in staying with a run-oriented scheme but rather, moving forward with their more-balanced approach.
It's not terribly difficult to dial up running plays.
Joe also had Kelly Campbell, Dez White and Kerry Watkins. Not sure if the current corps is that good but they did look very capable last Saturday. I thought they were a bright spot - saw lots of great catches by these young kids. A couple of years of them all together - who knows?
