You are correct. I just cannot figure out what happened to the fan base from five and more years ago. if you watch video of games over the past 20 years up until 2019, we averaged a lot more fans. The upper east stands used to be pretty full and now they are almost empty. I am not sure where...
I have never seen a team blow leads in the final eight minutes of games and just fold down the stretch like this team does, You can see if it coming and it is like they just roll over late. I was thinking it was because they have no go to players in the clutch, but it seems like deeper problem...
I have watched basketball for a long time and have never seen a drought like that. it seems like CDS could have done something to break it up like call time out, put in five new players, scream at them to wake up, go into a full court press, or something. I hate to say it but it reminded me of...
8 of 9 losses now. This team is not getting better but getting worse as the season goes on. It is CDS first year and we need to give every benefit of the doubt to a coach during the first three years of his tenure, but it is fair to observe that this team is not improving. The offense...
Any idea why we let Duke run about 15 seconds off of the clock before fouling in the last minute when we were down by multiple baskets? I have never seen high school teams allow that to happen. They were just standing around letting the Duke dribble until they finally fouled.
A lot of discussion about the flagrant foul call. But the real problem was blowing a 16 point second half lead, and it cannot all be attributed it to that. This team can go from very good to very bad and vice versa so quickly. And they never seem to be able to stop the bleeding.
And why...
What I like most about this team is that they do not fumble. No bad snaps, no missed hand offs, and they hold onto the ball when getting tackled.
Good fundamental football. Tough players. Great win. Go Jackets!
Any win is a good win. They seem to know how to stay cool and not get flustered with the game on the line. But teams have discovered that we have trouble beating the press, and are they going to keep doing it until we show we can stop turning the ball over. The sloppy turnovers have to...
Feel bad for Coach Key. He joined the coaching profession at the worst time. Must take the wind out their sails when they coach players up only to have them leave.
All good points.
But the last one on the 70/30 UGA /Tech crowd cannot be put on Batt and Cabrera. It on Tech fans. Tech fans need to get off of their couches and get to the stadium to support the team. Those players are fighting too hard out there to look up and see the opposing team...
Anyone that finds any fault with our QB Haynes needs to take a hike. He had a great game and is one of the best QBs in the ACC. A good passer, tough runner, and great leader. I was a fan of Pyron getting the job before the season started but not anymore. Next year looks very bright.
We are coming off of a five year period which saw Tech have its worst three year run in 120 years and UGA have its best three year run in 120 years. So, we are having to make it through the toughest time it has ever been to be a Tech fan. (I know the early 1980s were bad too.)
So, let’s not...
Please don’t compare Key to the last coach. Go back and watch some of this games where we had histrorically bad losses with mind numbing coaching decisions. Like when he did a fake punt from the opponents 28 yard line.
