Holy crap

I sat behind Chan Gailey in San Antonio during the 2004 finals basketball game. I overheard several cool conversations. He was very excited for the basketball team and what being in the finals could do for GT.

In this thread I called that last night's game would be the best of the season so far. Please don't be fooled. There is no way this team can consistently play like they did last night. There is no margin for error with this group.

Tech has their best game of the season tomorrow night. Even better than the Miami game. Why? Pastner is playing for something. The cuse isn't.

I have the feeling that the team will beat Cuse, raise some expectations and then lose painfully at BC. Or even worse, beat both Cuse and BC and then lose in the first round of the ACCT. No confidence.

A win is a win. Glad for the team. Four of the eight guys who played are seniors and won't be back. The non seniors scored 23 of the 70 points. Even without attrition, next year is quite dependent on transfers to keep from regressing further.

I think Deebo is capable of being a great player. He isn't playing great now. I am not sure if that is coaching, motivation or injuries. Miles has stepped up and also has the potential to be a terrific player. My thought was that he was closest to being a starter for other teams.

I won't contest you, but simply say that even that isn't actually very much.
