By this argument, almost anyone can be a head coach. Yep. Collins became one... So, yes....

Simple answer... None. However; it may be a right place, right time type deal. If Collins gets canned, during the season, which is possible. Long steps up as interim coach. I think he impresses enough, to get a shot. Just my opinion.

I think GT will be in the hole, so bad, that we'll have to offer Long the HC job. I do think he gets traction and after 2 years, he gets offered a better job. At least I have a better feeling about Long than I ever did with Collins. Collins just reminds me of that co-worker that takes credit...

Here's me going on the record.. I think we win 4 games... After the season not only is Collins fired, but also Todd Stansbury is fired. You'd think that, at some point, GT would stop dishing out insane amounts of money to untested coaches... I think Long takes over in the 2023 season and...

I picked 4 and thought..."Am I just being pessimistic?". Then I saw the numbers.... Guess I am not the only one... Low expectations, for most.. I think we got a really tough schedule and lose 3 of the first 4 games. Depending on how the team responds will determine the rest of the season.

I agree with the previous statement and this one. If we start 1-4, I don't know how we'll pull out of the funk or malaise that will cover the team. I also agree that a 1-4 start would definitely heat the seat for Collins.. Not sure what "major" thing will happen, other than nothing... Maybe...

I see a 1-4 start. Duke will depend on how demoralized the team is, by that point. What a rough start.... I hope I am wrong.. But, I can easily see another 3 win season coming.

I grew up on the defensive side of the ball. My coach used to say, if they can't score, they can't win. So I tend to lean towards having a better defense often wins the most games. Things like turnovers and 3 and outs will beat most every offense.

Don't look at me. EVERY football team I root for sucks.... Falcons, GT, I rooted for Bama, this last game. Hell, at this point. I may take one for the team and start rooting for UGA, so they will start sucking too.... Just saying.... There is a pattern. :(

Smart move. He will take a less that defensive team and make them good. He is smart enough to hire a fire cracker of an OC.. So, we'll see what comes of it.

To be fair that is a really wide topic. I would list my areas, as below 1. O line. Regardless of the size. We need to implement better blocking schemes. I would like to see us pull guards and allow better run lanes. 2. QB. I think we can narrow down the passing game issues, to two things...

I guess my question is..... who really wants us to lose, just to fire Collins??? You hate him THAT much??? I get it... He isn't the best. However; I cannot root against the team, just to out a coach.

I agree. 5 is the cut-off with me too. However; it matters who we lose to. If we lose to Western Carolina, than that's it for me. End of story. Nothing will save him, other than a bowl apperance. That's if, he doesn't get fired after the Western Carolina game. Sad part? I cannot say 100%...

While we are all on the "fire Geoff Collins" rant. I will say this. He is the one person that will determine his fate. He comes out flat, next year and loses the first 3 games, he should be fired right after. Heck, losing to Western Carolina alone, warrants the firing. Personally, I don't...
