    Eagles coach has some stones

I think Shaq Mason just lost the game for the Pats.

    Researchers Improve Game Day Experience...

This is very cool...wish GT provided free wifi on gamedays b/c service is very spotty if you aren't on wifi.

Schedule release tomorrow (Wed) at 2p

Can we just not complain about the schedule? It is what it is. A schedule isn't the defining factor between good and great. Let's be thankful we play in a strong conference that gives us an opportunity to get into the playoffs if we win...unlike USF. I just hate this "woe is me" attitude that...

GT - competing at a higher level

Not disagreeing with you at all, I believe there is a clear difference between a Tech degree and what you consider a "factory" school degree (although one could argue that these "factory" schools can provide an easier route to get to the same end-point, ijs)...I just don't think that's a strong...

GT - competing at a higher level

Yea, I just don't believe that Tech has the market cornered on a "valuable degree" nor do I believe that "factory" schools only have a limited network that is only good for getting you a blue-collar entry level job with no room for promotion. This just doesn't make sense to me but that's just me.

GT - competing at a higher level

I hear you and I didn't say that all SA at other schools are super successful but I also know Tech alum that are working at the mall too. Just saying your network is only as strong as your personal work ethic. Nothing I say or anyone else says on this forum applies to all student athletes at...

GT - competing at a higher level

As a Tech alum, I think we think way too highly of our degree. Its a solid degree, much like many other degrees and gives us a great boost into corporate America. Does it set us so far apart that competition can't catch up with us in the workforce?? Absolutely not. Again, education is great...

GT - competing at a higher level

IMO, education doesn't really matter. I didn't decide to go to Tech b/c I knew I would get a "good/challenging education"...I went b/c I knew I'd be able to get a good paying job after college. Players at factory schools can still get jobs and really quality jobs at that - so our argument that...

    Roof

I know I'm jumping in but I have a question: Do we care more about the student athletes having a well-paying job when they graduate or do we want to ensure that they have an impressive major with hard classes? I'm only asking b/c many athletes at these "factory" schools actually do very well...

    Glad you asked

At the end of the day, we all want GT football to be at it's best but systemic and academic constraints do exist and I'm not sure I see a path towards changing any of those constraints anytime soon. With that said, I unfortunately don't have the expectation of championships or consistency but...

It's time to talk about Brad Stewart.

Overall, our special teams sucks. I can't say that it equally adds the same amount of value as offense and defense and that's what you need to be a great football team. As for Bradford, I like him but I hate seeing him for punt returns and kick returns. He's not that fast and not quick at all...

    Path to the Coastal

I think for the sake of our ranking, we actually want the following: VT over BC - we need them ranked when we play them Duke over UVA - doesn't matter as much here but I think it looks better for us if Duke wins here Pitt over Syracuse - we already beat Pitt, they can keep on winning for all I...

    Anthem Protests

Let's be honest, no one even cared what anyone did during the national anthem before now. Now that someone has given a REASON for their actions during the national anthem, everyone is all of a sudden so patriotic. BULL. Leave this young lady alone, she is a fellow Yellow Jacket and is poised to...

    Austin Twins

I agree with @Coloradojacket, they should naturally be near each other b/c they both are in the secondary. There's another belief that maybe ALL defensive players should be near the tackle every play - that would actually be SWARMING the ball, lol.

Why do we stay with Russell Athletic?

Source tells me that Todd is a huge Nike advocate - only makes sense that he has relationships with Nike coming from the state where they are headquartered. It's my understanding that Nike verbally agreed to match any offer from UA or Adidas. Challenge is that we don't want to be Nike's...

Article Hoover Wide Receiver Shedrick Jackson Has the Genes to be a Star

Cool to see a kid from my old high school! From an ex-football player at Hoover, this kid is focused and knows exactly what it takes to be a champion. #GoJackets #HooverU

Why do we stay with Russell Athletic?

I'm all for anything but RA at this point but if I had my way, it'd be Nike - they have the combat brand that would suit our "honeycomb" look. Plus we get the better marketing and much cooler products (yes, cooler). I'd be down for Adidas but they just don't have the same appeal in football as...

    ACC v Ga Tech

I hear you but if we're winning then why do we care at all? Not sure that a schedule change will change the outcome of our season.
