Faulkner is not going to be in the box for UGA lol. He’s out recruiting for us…he would need to be scouting, prepping for OSU, and in meetings with the UGA staff to be part of the game plan and be valuable in the box.

Smith is likely returning. Priorities are WR, LB, QB. I think we will likely add another TE, OL, DL from the portal as well if there is a good fit.

Barbay would not be an ideal hire. We need someone with more than 2 years of OC experience imo. Even Long and Patenaude had better resumes than this guy…go get Littrell. He checks all the boxes and has run top offenses at multiple P5 schools.

Dream offensive staff (not going to happen): OC: Littrell QB/PGC: Weinke RB/AHC/RGC: Choice TE: Littrell OL: Matt Luke WR: Tommy Mainord (WR coach with Littrell - also has experience at UK and Texas Tech)

Littrell checks all the boxes for me. Seems like a no brainer if we can make it happen financially: 1. P5 OC experience 2. HC experience 3. Unique enough scheme (but he supposedly adjusts for personnel well) 4. Successful offenses at multiple places 5. Can also be our TE coach

1-1.5M would put him in the top 15-20 OCs in the country. I dont think he would expect that as an OC. If he is expecting that type of money he will likely need to get another HC job somewhere. I am guessing 800K would be realistic for him as OC, but Im not even sure if we can afford that at this...

Anyone know if Seth Littrell is a realistic option for OC? He seems to be the best option mentioned so far

I have seen on other boards that it still feels like a tossup. Nothing is settled yet. Rumors of Key getting hired on Monday are not true. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen, it just means the decision has not been made yet. If it’s Chadwell, it will likely be after the Sun Belt championship
