I’d rather have 3 stars and win than 4 stars who lose.
Ideally we get a coach who can recruit and coach. Geoff has only shown the ability to do one of those, which doesn’t win you many games.
Sims shortest drive against UNC (10 yards) was longer than 4 of Yates’ 5 drives. Yates had 4 drives where the offense went 9 yards or less. Including a drive that started on the 10 yard line and went backwards four yards.

Sims has also made plays against Clemson that Yates hasn’t shown the ability to make. Maybe we start Yates against UNC and score 40, or maybe we start him and score zero touchdowns again. Idk. But from what I’ve seen, Sims gives us a better chance of scoring points.
To me the opposite is true. With a weak OL it’s going to be difficult to sustain drives. We need more big plays, which I think Sims can provide better than Yates. But that’s just my opinion.

I’ve been a pretty strong Collins defender because it was a big transition. I was hoping to see an improvement in quality of play this year. It’s hard to imagine that happens by end of season based on what I saw tonight.
