I honestly have no opinion but would add to this point that Hudson, Mark's son, played for the Atlanta Celtics AAU team so there should be some familiarity there with coaches, etc.
See the note above on the APR impact. I agree on the teams from 98-00...but I don't think you would see those same players in GT uniforms under today's environment.
Yep. O'Leary went for 2 points three times that day and failed on each. The first attempt was as early as mid-way thru the 2nd quarter. The offense basically chased their tails the rest of the day. Manget's FG at the end of regulation should've been the game winner. Instead it only put us in OT...
I'd love to have Rose but highly highly unlikely to happen. He's where he wants to be. Been at BYU since the late 90s (started as an assistant). He did a Mormon mission before joining Phi Slama Jama.
Agree with what you're saying about Kennedy and have wondered if Prohm would have that same difficulty. Kennedy had health issues his first couple of years at A&M which surely contributed to the slow start. He has them in the tournament this year.
That's the question for me as well. If we do go the mid-major route I like Miller or Prohm. Miller is the more proven recruiter but it's hard to ignore the type of numbers Prohm's team puts up (especially the guards).
If a spot does open up I wonder if we'd approach Cliff Warren...now that he's available.
He has some familiarity with the program and did a good job developing our PG talent a decade+ ago (Jack, Bynum, Akins)
