My internet search indicates it is not, but can someone confirm whether the AT Fund is within the GT Foundation umbrella?
GT Foundation is a qualified entity for my company's donation matching program, GT Athletics is not, so just want to ensure I'm not leaving money (my company's) on the table.
From J Batt's email on Oct 15th (which is the same "nearly $300M" reference as the original announcement on Oct. 4th):
Surprised $400M (or $350M) hasn't been hit in the last 2 months.
I'm doing the Alumni Association Pregame event at Topgolf partially for that very reason. Includes top golf, buffet, soda, an alcoholic drink, and parking right across from the stadium. Figured all that made it worth it.
Was told by someone in Ticket Operations that seat allocations would begin on Friday, and all requests, changes, etc. would be final at that point.
But season ticket holders or others with special status may have better insight/different info. than me.
Not O'Keefe, but I heard someone from GT Marketing had to seriously ask if they'd potentially be causing hearing damage when they had the full marching band in McCamish for the volleyball game earlier this semester. It was apparently VERY, VERY loud (although not expected to be damaging, except...
Oh yeah, I think that was probably before it was decided it wouldn't be a full band trip.
We used to line the band bus windows with the center fold of the Hate Week Edition of the Technique for that trip as well. Unfortunately that tradition ended (unless they've been able to bring it back...
I think it was theorized somewhere earlier in the season, but GT is definitely only releasing a portion of tickets at a time in order to increase ticket prices and reduce the drop in value on the secondary market.
I'd been monitoring all the ticket sites (including GT) for the ~2 weeks before...
I was actually surprised how many miami fans there were in most sections of the stadium.
Very nice that our fans (and Band) were able to drown them out for most of the game!
Guess it also explains why my strategy to wait 'til the last minute to buy cheaper tickets off the secondary market...
I'm used to just pulling up to the GT hotel deck or the deck near biotech quad and paying day-of. I checked the pre-pay option and it's showing all those decks sold out.
Should that be accurate or do they only set aside a portion of the decks for pre-paid?
Curious, is there a way to hide/ignore entire threads?
I know most will eventually lose interest and drift onto the next page after a few days or weeks, but if we wanted to be proactive about it, could we?
Potentially relevant to season ticket costs and other changes. I can't get around the pay wall, but would be interested in some highlights/useful nuggets from anyone that can read it (as allowable)...
