Tim Hasselbeck. However, he is gone now. He took a head coaching job for a high school in Tennessee after his last broadcasting call at the Gator Bowl.
I just don't understand how losing those players, however great they were, we still managed to rank 119th in total defense. That means there are 118 teams out there with a better defense. Players or coaches? I don't know.
Bowers is not the only receiver they have. McConkey is crazy good for his size for yards after the catch and there is also Lovett, Rosemy-Jacksaint, Thomas, and Delp. Bowers is great but they have others Beck can go to. It will be a big challenge.
Our linebackers come up and disappear in the middle of the line and are not there to make plays. The middle of the field is wide open so many times it drives me crazy. I watch other teams and other games where their linebackers do not run up and get washed by the ol/dl scrum rather they hang...
You can't just take bodies to fill the OL and DL positions. They have to be good enough to make an impact and more importantly, they have to want to come here.
I keep thinking where we would be if we would could have beat the teams we should have beat and were leading...right now at 8 -1. If we can clean up a lot of mistakes and the defense can get better we can be a pretty good team next year.
It seems to me we have a lot of players go down with an injury every game. However, they do eventually come back in. But it definitely seems like it's more than the other teams we're playing
