I went and did some further reading on this. Apparently (based on a couple of articles I read) Castellanos had been operating the offense at high efficiency (qb rating in the 90s), but got injured and was out for a couple of games. After he returned, the offense went into the tank and his qb...
I think, based on very little actual knowledge, it was more a question of the type of offense that BC wants to run. Castellanos is terrific talent, but doesn't seem to fit what O'Brien wants out of his quarterback.
Don't get mad...but I got my Master's at UGA and while there, attended the NCAA Women's Golf tournament in Athens. That was probably 30 years ago....but I still remember it well. It was great fun and those young women were very talented.
Sure they could have found a way to not call it targeting. The review crew takes a nap and has the Ref announce, "the play was reviewed and no targeting occurred." I think Key believed that would occur and chose to hold his timeout for a potential final drive.
Well, that is certainly not true. I only had few gripes about the officiating. 1. The hit on King...and my gripe is that it was not reviewed for targeting. I don't know if it was or wasn't targeting (it is one of those nebulous things). Watching the play and how King fell backwards and down...
That may be, but we have had great success with freshmen on the OL in recent years. If they are better than what we currently have, ya gotta play them regardless of what year in the program.
Why do we need running back? It is a deep room with more talent coming in the next class. Offensive line? Don't we have 6 or 7 OL guys coming in the signing class? Including 4* and 5* guys that should be able to play right out the gate? IMO, DL and WR should be the priority, but the other...
