Not really, the goal is top 8, doesn't matter if it's 1st or 8th, you're going be matched via seeding and from what I'm seeing there really isn't any great advantage to being seeded 1st. It's still head to head with the team you're seeded against.

Nobody is making a big move today, Stanford is 4 over so far today. Okie State is 5 over as is UCLA. Tech's playing well based on the overall play of the field
