  1. 2023 GT Football Information Guide

Interesting question about the numbers. 8 and 9 have had their numbers more than 2 years. Singleton initially got number 7 but got bumped down to 13 when Tatum possibly eaned 7. I do not know what to think about Reuben, White, and Oliver getting the low numbers when Moala is getting the praise...
  2. 2023 Ga. Tech Football Depth Chart

YES. In the Spring game Leary and Rutherford were in the game at the same time with another WR (Blaylock was not in the Spring Game). In fact Rutherford played WR most of his snaps, if not all. I think Leary stays at slot and Rutherford plays both WR and slot. The new OC has some plays (screens...
  3. Tech vs. Louisville

Key is most impressive to me as a first year coach in that he definitely leaves the impresson that he knows what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. There is a lot on his plate and he is demonstrating that he can handle it. His selection of coaches has turned out to be outstanding. Better...

There is some similar speed coming at DB in the 2024 class.
  5. 2023 Ga. Tech Football Depth Chart

I will bite on a few issues. You got a lot right but Haynes is now a running back and doing very well. Daniels has moved to NB. Shelley is working at CB. Robinson plays on one side and Leftwich on the other. Key seems to be leaning toward Tatum and Moala at LB. Leanard will start at TE. Bryant...
  6. Tech vs. Louisville

By the numbers we are shy in depth at FS, SS, and N but we have quality players there and we are getting depth by cross training. I agree that our quality depth problem may be at CB.
  7. 2023 Fall Practice Notes

With all the advesity this team has endured the past few seasons it is obviously a masterful job this new coach and staff has done with these players. Just listening to the inteviews you can see the positive attitude, fun, and confidence. Much better days are coming. Thanks coach Key and staff...
  8. 2023 Fall Practice Notes

Some of te pictures on Rambling Wreck show Tchio and Brown practicing drills in uniform. not red shirts. Freshman Fortsman seems to be getting some attention along with Mackenny.

  10. 2023 Fall Practice Notes

#55 Lockett. He had a good Spring Game.
  11. 2023 Fall Practice Notes

We have a new DL coach which may make a difference. We have quality depth and size. We have 5 returning DEs wih significant playing time. We have 5 returning DTs, 3 with significant playing time, one proven good in games at pass rush, and one giant R-Freshman looking promising. In addition we...

Double that with two-a-days. A marine who was severly injured in Viet Nam once told me that when he thought he was near to dying that he thought about those two-a-days and decided that if he could survive that (4 times) then he could survive this. And he did!
  13. 2023 Fall Practice Notes

Two things can help prevent injuries, especially leg injuries: 1. get in shape 2. go full speed during potential contact until the whistle blows. A lot of those position "drills" are for muscle memory and to learn to set your body up in a good football position to make contact, but also to get...
  14. FAN DAY SET FOR AUGUST 5

Best Fan Day. Signing inside with only the "old roster" players required standing in only two lines (and in the shade) inside instead of 10 or so lines (on the field in the heat) and being in the air conditioned lounge area was a big improvement. The freshmen and walkons were on the field with...
  15. Yet another CPJ vs CGC thread

Maybe the point should be "not the 3-9 record but the really poor fundamental (and poor competitive) football played under Collins".
  16. Alright mannnn what's your best memory of Georgia Tech football?

Lance's run back of the blocked field goal to win after the clock expired. I was at the game. It was unbelieveable excitement.
  17. Where in Bobby Dodd Stadium do you sit, and how long have you had those seats?

North stands Sect 216 in 2015 and 2017 and 217 since. Great seats to see the game reasonably close at a diagonal to better see the play. Good access to concessions and restrooms and view of cheerleaders, band, and the action around the goal line. As a student I was in the upper east.
  18. Status of Transfer Players

Lots of talent there and we want that talent on the field. As long as we do not have multiple injuries at those positions and Coach Tillman can be creative in practice with those number of players I agree that we will be fine. That must be the coaches decision as well since we did not go after...
  19. Status of Transfer Players

I love Brooks and Lee. I like the backups. My point is N, S, S are positions where we only have 2 players per position counting scholly, walkons, and frosh. We have 4 proven QBs, 3 proven RBs and 3 others likeky good, WR/slot has 7 proven players and an outstanding frosh, We have 5 TEs with...
  20. Status of Transfer Players

I like to look at the transfer help by position: QB the one transfer has been big in solidifying this position along with the development of our walkon QB RB The one transfer here added to 2 returners along with the talented frosh and the 2 solid walkons make this position solid WR The multiple...
