  1. Bigfoot, logical fallacies, Sims, Reggie Ball, and Game Prep

I do find it intersting that in another thread a poster was mocked and ridiculed for suggesting Pitt would have won if Abanakanda was healthy, but now we want to argue that we would have won if Sims was healthy.
  2. Zach Gibson is not as bad as he looked.

The really weird thing is that he seemed like a guy with tons of fire and grit. When he took that shot on the FG drive, got animated, and talked trash, that was kind of exciting. Later in the game he took another hit that could have been called a late hit and did pretty much the same thing. He...
  3. Jeff Sims Reset?

Maybe I interpreted "solid" to be higher praise than you meant. Ill leave that be. As for the last last paragraph, im not all that sure Sims will still be here next year. Call it a hunch.
  4. Zach Gibson is not as bad as he looked.

He was pretty bad tonight. If there is any hope, it is in the 2nd to last drive. All of the sudden he kinda looked decent out of no where. If he can build on that then he could be decent. The start of the 2nd quarter to that point though was some rough football to watch.
  5. Jeff Sims Reset?

Feel free to share with us why you think Sims played great tonight or why you think he has played great all season. You continue to praise Sims without actually discussing anything he does on the field. It's a little strange.
  6. Jeff Sims Reset?

I watched the game too. He brought nothing to the table tonight. I don't know how hurt he was. He decided to play so im not going to make excuses for him. This isn't the first time he looked this bad this year, but we now know we have no backups so I guess any discussion about him losing his...
  7. Jeff Sims Reset?

lol. What? Dude isn't in the top 100 in passer rating in FBS. He only crossed midfield one time tonight in 5 drives only to throw an interception shortly after. He isn't the god you think he is. It wasn't that strange that some may have questioned do we have someone who might play better. It...
  8. Jeff Sims Reset?

Saying he played better than Gibson isn't exactly a selling point tonight. And yes, there is a reason he plays every snap. Because the rest of the QB room is absolutely awful. We understand that now. Congrats to the tallest midget in the room.
  9. Jeff Sims Reset?

I would give more credence to this if Gibson had started. Sims played and he played really bad. Frankly, we have no good QBs.
  10. #Postgame GT 9 - UVA 16

I actually wanted to somewhat give Gibson the benefit of the doubt. We wouldn't let him play at all before this game. He lead our only scoring drive on offense. He showed some fire and grit in the process. He caught fire a bit at the end. But running out of bounds on the final play? Nah. Can't...
  11. #Postgame GT 9 - UVA 16

I remember after last years Miami game that I said that Miami probably played the worst game I have ever seen and still won. Well, that didn't hold up long. UVA is an awful team that played even more awful than normal tonight and we still couldnt beat them. Beyond frustrating.
  12. Week 8 #UVAvsGT Predictions

Decent chance that UVA doesn't win another game this year. We should handle them. I still think they keep it close most of the game and we pull away a bit in the 4th. I'm thinking something like 27-14.
  13. 2023 CFB Playoff

Imagine TN losing in triple overtime to Bama in the SEC championship and then missing the playoffs with that one loss. Even that is chaos.
  14. 2023 CFB Playoff

If UGA loses to TN then the only scenario that I can see them getting in is if Alabama gets to the SEC championship and loses to TN again. I don't think the committee will ever have the guts to put 3 SEC teams in.
  15. GT favored over UVA

Here is a breakdown (with clips) of his play after the Syracuse game. https://www.streakingthelawn.com/2022/9/28/23374680/uva-football-brennan-armstrong-virginia-cavaliers-syracuse-duke-what-happened-to-brennan-armstrong. It certainly isn't just he is running for his life all the time. He is...
  16. GT favored over UVA

Their OL is not very good, but im not sure it explains everything. Their QB has regressed in many ways, and has 10 turnovers. Their WR's lead the conference in drops by a wide margin. They had 6 yards rushing last week which seems impossible. Im not sure any unit ever needed a bye week more than...
  17. Jeff Sims Reset?

Sims vs Leonard isn't nearly the most hilarious QBR discrepancy: The system was tweaked a few times after that. The complexity of the system leaves open the possibility weird results sometimes. Taking less sacks, not fumbling, performing better in "harder" situations, pressure on the QB...
  18. Jeff Sims Reset?

QBR is a fairly complicated stat. In regular passer rating Sims was rated much higher.
  19. Jeff Sims Reset?

He's a good runner and a not very good passer. It is what it is at this point. We can still win games with him as long as he keeps the turnovers down. Next year, well we will see what the new coach wants to do.
  20. GT favored over UVA

Duke was favored by 1.5 over UVA and won by 21. Louisville was favored by 2.5 over UVA and won by 17. Now we are favored by 3.5 at home. UVA has only covered once in the last 6 games. It just feels like they are getting a little more credit week after week in Vegas than they are earning.
