Im not sure it's a pipe dream. Personally I think the idea that all of the ACC programs will accept the current contract for 14 more years while other conference renegotiate multiple times to build even larger revenue disparities is more of a pipe dream. Something will have to give.

Why would continuing the current contract for 14 more years be a better option for the top 8 ACC programs than dissolving the conference and taking their chances elsewhere?

We need to play hardball here. Someone needs to lead a coalition of 8 teams within the ACC that band together and threaten to dissolve the conference if ESPN doesn't renegotiate. The top 8 teams in the ACC will likely have other P5 options, and it would be in their best financial interest...

Texas A&M signed 6 five stars last year and have 3 more committed this year. You think that is just because they are in the SEC?

The top end players will go where the money is. There is a reason Miami is a really mediocre football program yet has 3 five star players committed for 2023 already with another one likely coming. If Clemson wants the really top end guys then they will have to step up their NIL game.

Other conferences other than the SEC have a GOR as well. They really aren't that bad, and can help with short term stability. The real problem we have is that we signed one for a ridiculous length. Having the GOR go until 2036 and signing a media deal for the same length was a really dumb decision.

I really hope we aren't going to put Sims out there at less than 100% in a game that we would likely lose anyways if he were 100%. He is alot more valuable for the VT and Miami games than the FSU game.

I think our coaching staff could possibly get enough out of Gibson to pull off a win against VT with the way our defense has been playing. Im not sure we can beat anyone else even with Sims. Maybe Miami if Van Dyke is still hurt or if they turn the ball over 8 times.

There is probably a reason that Clemson stuck with DJ last year when he looked like one of the worst QBs in the country.

After Taisun they had two 2 star QBs who were originally walk ons. Their QB room last year was worse than ours this year.

The Louisville backup QB, Brock Domann, a former 2 star, had a 85.5 QBR in that game. In our game Sims had a QBR of 8.4 and Gibson had a QBR of 7.6.
