Ok. Let's say that closing down prevents deaths (I don't think it prevents significantly more deaths than it causes). If it does, how long would you propose shutting down and how would you reopen? How much would you shut down? How would you enforce said shut down?

How were they prevented? Did the virus disappear so that it couldn't infect anyone ever again? No. It isn't going anywhere. Shutdowns are just kicking the can down the road and the people that did that study covered their butts by having the word delayed in there. That study really isn't...

While this is only anecdotal, there were several businesses in my area that didn't make it through the shutdown. However, since reopening, most businesses I talk to are doing quite well despite the fact that the press is acting like Florida is that town in the movie Outbreak.

Not okay with it at all. I just believe that all shutting down will do is slightly delay when those people are hospitalized and die in addition to destroying people's lives and livelihoods. I also believe the shutdowns kill people. I also believe the shutdowns cause child abuse.

The evidence is now pointing to that not being the case. Other countries that "brought it under control" are starting to see surges. This thing isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Ruining people's lives by closing the economy just adds insult to injury.
