Glad we’re not trying to whiteout Clemson again. Can we do that thing that DRad did years ago with the warm up games (Alcorn and Bowling Green) and schedule them for 7:30 PM because TV won’t want those games anyway?
Like almost everyone else in the world, I have no idea what’s going on with IU football, but I would think our currently going into a defensive coaching change would present opportunities to a graduate transfer.
Can we NOT try to white out Clemson. With the current state of both programs, it’s not going to work. I would prefer Miami but then people will complain if it’s too cold.
Johnson always had 2 OL coaches until one was let go and there had been a chorus of critics who decided we needed a ST coach. I would guess that he was pressured into that change. Adding "another OL coach to compensate" was just going back to the way Johnson had done it for a long time.
That perception changes instantly every time the team has a good year. In 2009 and 2014 the national media and even the local leg humpers suddenly discovered that its actually a really exciting big-play offense. The supposed perception is just a convenient talking point for people who aren’t...
Damn. Another elite athlete gone. Too bad we couldn’t even get him on the field this year to help us win some games. Roster management has been a major issue lately. I wonder if he could go play for Florida or Auburn and help someone who will get his skills on the field beat the dogs?
This reminds me of something CPJ said repeatedly during Bobinski’s tenure. Something like: “successful ADs take care of the revenue sports, football and basketball.”
I won't be shocked if it ends up 60/40 either, but to my knowledge the evidence was to the contrary. Kind of just figured the local media was paying us no attention and rehashing the same old narratives as usual.
What's with Chuck Oliver talking about Tennessee fans buying up all the tickets, and KQ going along with it? Wasn't there an ajc article about GT selling our allotment and then another 5,000, while UT didn't even sell their initial allotment? KQ said it would be 60:40 in favor of UT.
It wasn't flashy, but Jalen Camp made a really nice catch, changing direction to get to a somewhat poorly thrown pass. It was particularly impressive given that he is huge.
I think the idea that he can't throw comes entirely from the announcer in the VT game which is all most people know of his passing. He threw one bad pass, which for all we know was the reciever's fault and the announcer who I'm sure has never seen him play immediately started the narrative...
Interesting. It does seem like our most talented freshman on defense make big plays and then seem to disappear after more time in the system. Freeman, Gray, and Mitchell come to mind.
