The new playoff format should guarantee at least one team in the discussion every year. I can almost promise, that by the end of the year, the ACC will have at least three teams plus ND as possible playoff teams.

The problem with Redshirting in this day and age, is the Transfer portal. Good for a player that will eventually reach his potential. But bad for programs that stack really good players.
Agree. It happens to a lot of teams. Especially after having a dominant starter at QB for 2-3 years. Very few schools can reload year after year at QB.
While I like sneaking up on people, being ranked early and often helps with the new playoff system. After the CCG’s, not being in the top 8 or so will really hurt. Depending on how many conference champions are barely ranked. Let’s say the fifth conference champion and the Big 12 are not ranked...
