You may be right. My point is there was no reason for him to run out of the pocket a couple of times yesterday sinçe everyone was blocked. I can't blame him for being gun-shy, jumpy and throwing off the back foot etc because he had to run for his life last year. For him to get better though...
. I know I keep harping on this but we have to have a WR who draws double coverage so we can win the numbers game. We looked better at times today but for the most part they still were able to cover us one on one. If they don't respect the deep ball the safeties play the run.
JT needs to trust his protection which was better and stop running out of the pocket. He threw ok but was late on a couple of throws. Hopefully he'll get more confidence in the protection and get better at getting it out on time.
CPJ could stand to put it up a little more deep just to back...
The Den bar at The Lansdowne hotel is having a big tailgate and barbecue after the " match." They have ESPN and say they're showing the games. Ten minute walk from stadium up Lansdowne Rd.
I guarantee you he played the player he thought gave us the best chance to win. You can disagree with who he played if you want but he's been making those decisions for 38 years. He's never played a guy who he thought gave his team a better chance to lose!
I'm not privy to first hand knowledge so I'm going to go with my gut here and I believe he will be a very good player the rest of his career. Will he be the guy to draw double coverage, I don't know. It seems that CPJ is confident so I'm going with that.
I think Brad's success is important to the offensive lines success. If he or Jeune or anyone else for that matter can take the top off you see the running game get much better.
Yes, let the coaches coach. He has something personal against Roof. Let's play a game or two and see what happens! I'm betting Roof has a much better idea about what's going on. That's my opinion.
