You guys worry too much about Tech's finances. I saw this morning we are ranked 65th by some College Football Ranking site. So being the 56th highest-paid coach puts Collins in about the right spot. If Collins starts winning big, we will sell more tickets, generate more income and pay him...
I get your general message that the coaches know more than the fans. I certainly hope that is the case. My contention is that some of the struggles we are having are glaringly obvious and it is disappointing that we seem to be repeating them over and over and over. Hey, let's face it. We are...
Just reading through the responses to this thread it is apparent and obvious to me that most of our fanbase has a better realization of our problems and possible solutions than our coaching staff do, (or if they do, they are too stubborn to address them).
For me, the elephant in the room is...
After the UNC game, I thought we had figured out how to pressure the QB and then we would begin to evolve into a pretty damn good defense. Then came the Pittsburgh game and it looked like we were hapless and forgot everything we had displayed in the previous game. I know there is always a...
It is supposed to be on ESPN3 and or ESPN+. My ESPN app is showing it as an option. I am in South Carolina so I am hoping it is not blacked out.
Go Jackets!
We were actually down 2 offensive linemen. Kenny Cooper was out hurt (which he is prone to be), and Ryan Johnson did not play but the second half due to injury as well. Jordan Williams has a nagging injury but played. We tried to play Viapulu at Johnson's spot and Pendley at Cooper's spot...
You know Kenny Cooper has not been able to play a full season since he has been here. I love his heart and he gives it everything he has when he is in there and is a pretty darn good football player. I think the coaches counting on Kenny to be a frontline player and major part of our offensive...
Duke will be difficult for us. We rarely play well up there. I really hope we are ready to play and put forth a maximum effort. It will take that to defeat them.
Go Jackets!
As a Tech fan, I can identify with your comment about never being sure of what is going to happen when we take the field. That has become part of our DNA, inconsistency. Just when you think you have a pretty good football team, they crap the bed and put on a real crap show.
Just my opinion on...
You have to win to be relevant. We are not only not winning, we are getting publicly humiliated on our own field. Sometimes it is better to be overlooked than to be made fun of. I think that is where we currently are at.
Go Jackets!
Yes, I went to bed last night with a smile on my face and a warm glow in my heart. This morning and today have been the best day I have had in a long while. I don't know why Georgia Tech football means so much to me, but it always has and always will. My heart has been heavy over the Jackets...
Jordan Dominek is coming into his own as well. Really was manhandling some big old Offensive Tackles and putting a hurt on Mr. Howell last night. I agree Griffin is a warrior and it was good to see Clayton finally show up some last night.
Go Jackets!
I really think Dontae Smith is our best back. No disrespect to Gibbs, Mason or Griffin but Dontae is just got the whole package. He runs hard and does not require much blocking. Gibbs is great but he has to have space to accelerate and make big plays. Mason is more of a hammer and a quality...
I have not seen the Yellow Jackets play Defense like that in a long, long time. You always have a chance to win when you play good defense. I am very proud of the young men who showed up tonight and fought for Georgia Tech. Let's keep building, we can do great things!
Go Jackets!
