I'm not nearly as high on Smith as some on this board are. I see an athlete that plays basketball more than a basketball player that is an athlete.
If you look at his numbers his first 2 years of college you don't really see any growth as a player yet.
His numbers are remarkedly similar on a per...
TCU got robbed at the end, though that was good for my Bracket.
My Bracket is so weird.
I have only 9 of the Sweet Sixteen and 5 of my Elite Eight, but all 4 of my Final Four still left.
FWIW, i'm not sure Texas Tech has enough offensive firepower to stick with Duke.
I have them beating Duke in the next round but after watching them play ND i'm alot less confident with that pick.
I think you have to be able to score in the 70's to beat Duke.
ACC and B12 both with 3 teams through to the Sweet Sixteen. No other conference has more than 1.
B12 has 2 more teams playing right now, P12 and B10 trying to get a second.
My home state Badgers are in alot of trouble in their game. They lost their starting PG To injury late in the first half and have only scored like 6 points total since then over 10+ minutes,
Enjoying the Mich St - Duke game so far. Feels like one that should go down to the end.
I have Duke in my bracket but will not cry if Duke loses.
Mich St is one of the few teams i've seen that really matches up well against the Williams-Banchero combo size wise.
The issue with this is that some of these talents end up at another blue blood type that has more room at their position - not moving down to the GT, Vandy kind of level.
Generally the ones moving down to the GT level are ones that simply ended up not being that level of talent.
I get that BJ McKie is an alum but going from targeting Sean Miller to possibly looking at McKie is an awfully big change.
On Miller, I expect he will have to serve some sort of suspension once the official NOA is provided to AZ, but it will be interesting to see how he does in round 2 at...
I root for ACC teams to win alot more than I used to as I realize the financial advantage to GT of those teams winning.
Still almost impossible to root for Duke. After that Baylor game rooting for UNC is easier this year.
I also will almost always root for an underdog like St. Peter's unless...
So 9 teams through to the Sweet Sixteen from 9 different conferences.
The last 7 will determine how many each of the power conferences get in the Sweet Sixteen
Last 7 games are
B10 vs BE
B10 vs ACC
B12 vs B10
ACC vs B12
ACC vs SEC
B12 vs B10
B12 vs P12
The 2nd team is the higher seed in each...
I'll wait until tomorrow night to see how conferences are performing.
Right now you have 5 teams advanced to the Sweet Sixteen. One each from the
ACC
B10
Big East
B12
Pac12
SEC is likely to get their first one through in about an hour.
That was nearly an epic collapse for the ages. Glad UNC won.
I root for ACC teams in the Tourney, the more they win the better it is financially for GT.
That all turned on the Flagrant 2. Without that call UNC likely wins by 20+.
Manek and Davis are really the heart and soul of that team...
Well i'm nothing if not consistent so far. I got 6 out of 8 games right in each of the 4 regions.
I've lost 1 Elite 8 team, and 4 Sweet Sixteen.
My bottom half of my East Bracket is lost (I had VT and KY), but other than that not too bad.
Well, unfortunately Ill didn't have a lead until the final minute but they had it when it counts most.
Can't wait for the late games to start as this LSU - Iowa St game is just ugly. Sometimes games are low scoring because of good defense. This is not one of those games. This is just 2 teams...
I have Duke making the Sweet Sixteen and then losing to TT. I should have phrased a little better. I thought they had an relatively easy path the opening weekend.
Duke is really good offensively, but they have been suspect defensively for weeks now.
VT is going to kill my bracket. I had every...
Article on the new balls being used in the Tournament this year.

There are actually alot of bracketing rules that have to be followed and the Region is much less important that what city a school is sent to - For instance Duke is in the West Region but is playing its first weekend games in Greenville, SC.
