I don't think you've been unreasonable in this thread, but this is really not a good take. Even if every school does the same thing, that just means all schools are lying. People can argue about the morality of it when everyone is doing it, but it's still a lie.

If the only thing we were trying to do was get the 64 teams with a chance of winning, we wouldn't have automatic qualifiers. At some point the regular season needs to matter. Florida is fine, but they did not have an NCAA tournament worth season.
