It’s due to parity and the meat grinder of a schedule that most ACC teams play. It’s difficult to win out of conference after getting beat up in conference games. Most other conferences don’t compete at as high a level as the ACC where it means even more.

The first one you mentioned, and possibly the 2nd. The Citadel QB was mouthy all game and could have been called for taunting himself. Were the officials from the ACC? If so, they may have confused the baby blue uniforms with another team they favor.

At least one of these unsportsmanlike calls was bull**** from what I could see. Not making excuses, but the officials did a piss poor job.

Monken’s statement to his Army team could apply to the Citadel team today. That is, unless you believe the Citadel is more talented than Georgia Tech. Sometimes, the team that wants it more prevails.

I don’t want to hurt his business, but I’m surprised he hasn’t moved. I get loud and stand for most of the game. His cross to bear is his wife can’t handle her alcohol so I always ask him about his lovely wife if he leaves her at home. Sorry I don’t have any pictures.

For the past several seasons, a Tech alum in the row behind me would bring “clients” to the game, usually fans from the other team. To add to the obnoxiousness, he would bad mouth our team all game to ingratiate himself with his guests. Do any of you do this or have to endure this? /CSB
