I do believe schools broadly are failing many of the young adults who come through their doors (across the whole public education system from kindergarten through doctoral studies).

Agree that some imbalance always existed.
A primarily STEM based school with a small enrollment compared to a larger state school whose mission is educating kids beyond the HS level will always have imbalance.
This notion though, of it not being about the school but just the team or player...
I think what I mainly struggle with on the NIL topic (across all sports by the way) is the rapidly increasing explicit acceptance of the implicit practice that the experience of student athletes is becoming completely divorced from the academic/cultural/community sense of the schools they play...
You know, I don’t mean to pile on to our buddy @kg01 but I always thought a coach needing to literally hire someone to help them keep their composure sent a fairly awful message to their players about how to conduct themselves in the game.
Really good interview - the more I see of him, the more excited I am for the season to get going in earnest. Loved hearing about how he wants to run with two PGs and a go, go, go pace.

I had a professor once tell me it’s about measuring mastery of the subject and not understanding.
That’s always been part of the mission at GT and served me well since graduating.
I will tell you one thing, if you ever see me out and about, I'll respond correctly to WTGW.. Heck I even embroidered it onto some shoes I wear for rowing..
