So a running back can't be called for targeting for lowering his head to initiate contact? I wasn't aware that was part of the rule.
It looks like Tarique turned his head to the side to try to come across the runners forward trajectory and hit him with his shoulder, and the running back...
Based on CGC's comments, it sounds like we kept our best defense out of the first two games to use it here. I know you don't want to lose to Clemson by 66, but I'd rather do that than lose to a G5 team at home.
I saw Gibbs open a couple of times and he wasn't targeted. I don't know why Yates doesn't get it to him in passing situations. Maybe he doesn't know how to present as well, or maybe Yates practiced more with others and has a better feel for where they are going to be? But I am very surprised at...
Much better defensive game plan. I know that Clemson's offense isn't what it was (Elite in the literal sense of the word), but I think it is still a top 25 offense. Coupled with what is probably the best D in the nation they will still be top ten at the end of the year.
Our coaches had a great...
Sure would have liked to see Dontae in there for a couple of those <5 yard TD attempts. He's got a nose for the EZ and speed kills. Better yet, but him at flanker right with a WR out wide, Mason at FB, Gibbs at HB in an I-formation. Motion left, power left with Mason and Gibbs leading the sweep...
Oh, and you can't blame the owners of Sweetwater for that...the servers there are all likely UGA grads. They've got to work somewhere with that History of Art diploma ;)
I'm really confused by the Targeting call against 'Rique. It sure looked to me that he was hit in the side of the head by the running back who led with the crown of his head. Why weren't both players called for targeting? Or neither?

You can put Reformation in that list of ATL breweries with GT owners and huge fans as founders. Four of the six original founders are GT fans & alums.
The only UGA fan in the whole leadership team is the sales director and we let him know that he's always on thin ice if he talks crap. ;)
I don't see it like that. I think building a strong sense of shared purpose...and that purpose being each other...is what leads to winning. Tons and tons of evidence supports that soldiers who stand and fight don't do it for their country, they do it for their foxhole buddies.
I put myself in that group who is starting to doubt but hopes to be convinced otherwise.
CGC strikes me like some of the prima-donna program leads I've had working for me. They do think that they are the smartest person in the room, the are very dedicated to their team and winning, and they...
I couldn't agree more. And when we play the teams who think they are the bee's knees, slow the game down. I used to play a bit of pretty competitive tennis, and the one thing you did is make sure that you control the pace of the game. It can really get into the opponent's head.
Thanks. Just for clarity, by 'revealing' I assume you mean revealing the image or word-for-word writing. I assume normal 'fair use' still applies and we can summarize what is written and even post a snippet or short sentence quote if the the topic of the post is to criticize or otherwise discuss...
Well, if you've got a small business that needs to get your name out there it seems like the perfect opportunity to make a difference!
Speaking of that...are there any limits to the NIL rules? Could, for instance, a local craft brewery get a 19 or 20 year old player to represent the brand? How...
