You've got one goal here. And while I don't disagree with every post of yours, it's exhausting to watch you turn every thread into this. You're only the second poster I've ever ignored.
I hope you're able to relax at some point.
I agree with this, and I loved the old system.
It will take time. My issue with the QB situation is more about the constant and random rotation. If JG is anywhere close to LJ in diagnosing the D, then I think you go with him. What's there to lose? He throws an INT? At least he might also...
Most of my thoughts have already been expressed by others.
-I have zero concern one way or the other about “money down”, “ATL” or any other “culture” changes. If those things get you riled up, you need some perspective in life.
-I love the improvement on defense. This s what I hoped a...
I don’t appreciate the posters that seem to want CGC to fail any more than you.
My point is that there is far more bringing up the old coach by those who never liked the guy anyway, than from those who did like him. The post I quoted is a perfect example.
This is what plays out:
Poster A...
See this drives me nuts. There’s all this talk about “letting go” and not bringing up the old coach from those who think he sucked. But here, in this thread, where no one said anything good or bad about him, one of the loudest critics brings him up to jab another poster. And I see this more...
Ok. Then that's a different argument from you. I never said he'd be an excellent pro-style QB. Just that he looked like the most poised QB last night, and threw the best ball by far.
Really have to disagree.
I wasn't one who had JG tabbed as the man, but he just looked the most poised in the pocket, and he absolutely threw the best ball out of the three no question. That TD pass took timing and touch. It had both.
Also, Clemson backups are 4 stars, and Dabo gets max...
OFFENSE:
Mason: Jordan Mason looked like a man out there dragging defenders and breaking tackles. He is clearly our #1. I like Howard receiving out of the backfield and Griffin looked good on his first carry, but Mason looked GREAT.
Brown: I wondered throughout the game if we would get to...
Dabo is a great coach who specializes in motivating guys to give their all. I highly doubt the backups in the game were mailing it in.
We will still need TO’s ability to run the ball this season. But I agree that JG looked poised and threw some good balls. Kept his eyes downfield too.
I can see both of these scenarios playing out. Or neither.
I know our QBs are similar in their dual-threat nature, but they are also different. Can't be easy for Clemson's D staff to fully prepare a bunch of new faces for what they might see.
If nothing else, speculation is just fun!
Rashaun Grant, anyone? One of the top all-purpose backs in the nation coming out of HS.
One incredible game vs. NCState(?), but mostly unrealized potential.
QB: I'm bullish on the physical abilities of this unit, but nervous about their ability to direct the new attack. Hesitant to believe they'll perform well.
RB: I can see Mason having an impact with his versatility. I'd like him to catch some passes out of the backfield. Griffin is the only...
Last comment from me in this thread:
I love CBK. He was an absolute dream hire to coach our OL.
I don't care if we flop on the ground, play patty cake, or jump up and kick DLs in the face, as long as we move the ball.
