I don't know if you truly understand what a challenging job the HC at GT is. It is truly unique in all of college football. And the name we are discussing here who knows that the best is Key. As a player and a coach. Full disclosure: I voted Chadwell. But I'm rooting for Key. Truly.
I’ve said it before, but CBK 100% has the mindset and personality to be a successful HC at GT. He understands the place, which most don’t. It’s very unlikely, but I’d love to se what he could do with a dynamic young OC (maybe GT finally gets to be the place where one of these hot shots makes a...
I'm sorry all your memories of RB are bad. I have many fond ones. One of the toughest guys to ever play here. I just don't think Nix/Gailey utilized his skill set. When they did, he was as good as anyone in the country.
I'll admit I don't keep up with who posts what on here, so you may be one of the best and most knowledgeable posters here...
but good grief, man. Do people really still compare the Gailey and Johnson eras to each other and judge them to be the same? Wonders never cease.
For the life of my I can't understand the disdain some people have for an offensive philosophy that piles up yards, points, and wins. But what do I know. I mean, we have political parties in this country that convince people to vote against their own self-interest all the time... so I guess I...
So the HC thread devolves into option talk and the option thread devolves into HC talk... lol.
I just came here to talk about B-backs after watching the TaxSlayer highlights. CPJ once told a buddy of mine that Adrian Peterson was the best BB ever, not because of his 40 yard dash time, but...
Give me RB in CPJ's offense. Tell me he doesn't ball out. He was a mix of JfN and JeT. Little smaller than JfN, little slower than JeT... but man he was the toughest dude on the field.
Also loved that response from Key
I think this will be a good scenario for CBK. I can imagine the two having familiarity with each other will make the conversation about the rest of the season and CBK's chances to get the HC job easier. Doesn't mean he'll have a better shot at it, but I bet it will be easy for the two to sit...
I am on record as wanting Chadwell, as a proven program builder and an offensive identity I love.
That said, I think CBK has the personality needed in a GT football coach. You know he understands GT as an institution and the unique challenges it presents. I'm willing to be he doesn't see...
