    Roof Out as DC

Not quite. They both run a 3-4 but... Ted Roof:bud foster::Al groh:Nate Woody. The alignment is about all they have in common.

    Roof Out as DC

FWIW, this year App State and GT had 2 mutual opponents, Wake Forest and UGa. GT allowed 24 and 38, respectively. App State gave up 20 and 31 respectively. I understand this is VERY facile, but with App State talent, Woody was one score a game better than Roof this year.

Again I actually think you have the hosses for it. St. Amour could definitely be a Jack backer, and I've said before on this board that your DL are better suited to be odd front than even front. Branch is a natural odd ftont type, as is Adams, ,and Glanton could clearly go eitherr way. It...

So conceptually it's a 3-4, but with both outside linebackers walked up to the line of scrimmage so it's really more of a 5-2 with standup ends. Now, if they're playing a spread team, those OLB's can and will flex out into coverage. The idea is that it's attack attack attack, all the time. The...

    Roof Out as DC

Oh ****ing PLEASE yes! All I want once in my life is to see Paul Johnson's offense paired up with a hyper aggressive attacking defense with high major athletes. Again and again and again and again defenses at Georgia Tech have been passive read and react flow and pursue defenses. Just for once...

IPTAY is genius, and I cannot for the life of me understand why more schools don't do it. You expand the donor base because ANYBODY can afford a little bit, and if even 10% of those that get used to giving end up giving more, the program pays for itself many times over.

It's a lot harder to scheme around talent on defense than it is on offense. Guys like Gary Patterson and Bronco Mendenhall have done some interesting stuff historically running 335 and the attacking Flex attacking Flex nickels, but essentially all that really is a sacrifice size for speed, be...

    Lucas Johnson (highlights)

He would be a fool to transfer after this year, playing time or no. Her would be the heir apparent to start with a coach that had demonstrated that his starter is going to play the Lions share of the minutes. I fully expect tqm to start next year and play a ton. He's got a million reps and...

    Jay Jones Transferring

Interesting (to me) tidbit that offfered me some insight: my buddy was a graduate assistant for urban meyer at OSU, and he was in charge of evaluating h.s. film to forward to coaches for evaluation (iow, he pre-washed the video to get rid of anybody who didn't have the attributes necessary to...

Fair enough. Who are you upset with? LJ for winning the competition? PJ for deciding the winner of a competition?

    Jay Jones Transferring

What ****? Assuming that he lost the competition to LJ, would you really expect a kid to sit for 4 years with no opportunity to ever start, except in an emergency role? If a guy in your own class beats you out, your routes to playing time are limited, and I have a hard time blaming a 19 or 20...
