    This pleases me

+1, and I'm a cpj guy. If this doesn't work out, there probably is something to the "cpjs offense hamstrings the defense" reasoning that I have rejected up till now.

    UVA vs. Navy

I'm not sure that UVA is a better team then Jmu, so I can't see why the coach would be interested.

    UVA vs. Navy

Whoooooo it's not pretty. It really left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. I'm of the opinion that we have to give Mendenhall two more years, and I can't stand the guy, but there's a lot of people who are ready to turn the page now. The issue is that he hasn't recruited at all, and...

Here's what we want. Here's why we want it. Here's what we want to do with it. Here's how to help. Good stuff.

Let's speculate on starters if we get Woody

I think he's cracking a joke about the guy a couple of posts above setting up a starting lineup. Saying now Woody doesn't have to do that.

Al Groh has a HELL of an eye for talent. It's probably the single best attribute he has as a college football coach. The number of random like canadians and dudes from like cleveland and Podunk new jersey and 6'5, 190 dudes that some how ended up as left tackles he brought through UVA was...

    UVA vs. Navy

    1) GT scored on 36 on UVA, so it's not exactly as if UVA slowed GT down 2) GT attempted 22 passes on UVA, Navy Attempted 1. 2 of those 22 were interceptions, and only 6 were completions. Take away those two turnovers, and you're probably looking at a wash, offensively. To clarify: GT got too...

Some ugly kicking numbers I just pulled elsewhere.

Agreed to a large extent, although indirectly I think you can say that lower field goals made indicates less willingness to attempt, which can speak to a coach's confidence in his kicker. So, there's SOME value there, but I agree it's an imperfect stat.

The kerning in this post is giving me an aneurysm

    UVA vs. Navy

He has the biggest variance from his best games to his worst games of any quarterback I've ever seen. Sometimes he looks like Joe Montana and sometimes he looks like Joe Schmo.

Some ugly kicking numbers I just pulled elsewhere.

Harrison Butker hit touchbacks as a freshman at a 41% clip. For comparison, this year Davis was at 29%,and King was 4% (that's not a typo) Davis is a Sophomore. As a sophomore, Butker hit touchbacks at a 59% clip. Davis is bad, and King was an unmitigated disaster. GT finished 124th in the...

    Our Future Secondary

The new DC is part of why I'm making that assumption :) I'm also VERY curious to see if Gray and/or Jalen Johnson ends up at OLB. I doubt it, but it also wouldn't blow my mind, as I think they might be physical enough to allow the defense to get even faster.

    Our Future Secondary

Agreed, but I expect both Henderson and Oliver to end up as linebackers.

It's a super interesting question, for sure. Reading what he said about his NG at App State, I do wonder if Adams is the guy, or if he just really prefers smaller, quicker guys.
