Thank you for this.
Time is such a strange taskmaster as I get older. My expectation is that Tech should be competitive but then I realize that two of my favorite Tech players (Nomar and Jason) have been long retired from the Red Sox, that the team I was thought was a season or two away from...
When that song came out I listened to it on the radio until I got sick of it. We discussed its meaning until I never wanted to hear it again. Then a few years ago I heard again after a long time away from it and realized all over again how brilliant it was. I think years later it may move me...
I’m not trying to be negative on a beautiful post but just want to share a pet peeve of mine. Over the years, at Memorial Day picnics, concerts, and in church services, someone wants to recognize our veterans with a round of applause, or even ask them to stand for recognition.
Memorial Day is...
That is sad. Kind of drives it home.
I would be curious on this board to see what the consensus is with regard to what a realistic level of success is that should be expected for this program.
🤣 I don’t know why but the expression “simmer down” always cracks me up. I’m still snorting and chortling 😂
Wonder how boring a sports site would be if everyone “simmered down?”
Perception is reality, unfortunately. And of the various narratives that we have seen over the years all of them seem to be based on the perception that the ACC is an “also ran” conference. Tech needs that to change or we need to join a conference that isn’t constantly looked down on.
Amazing that just having two good teams can elevate a conference over the ACC. Kind of illustrates the problem the ACC will have if FSU and Clemson leave.
Interesting. It’s been years (many decades) since I’ve encountered a uga fan who will pull for Tech. The ones I run into now laugh at our misfortunes and wish us nothing but misery. Now saying I doubt you, I would just like to hear more about these fans that I never run into.
I have a friend who runs an international head hunter company that specializes in agriculture. He can operate remotely in dozens of countries but chose to live on a mountain in GA.
Not getting Tech is an egregious error. You HAVE to get Tech, dare I say, love the Tech culture, to coach here.
One of our best recent coaches loved unique cultures, both at Tech and at Navy. 😊
